Delete your account

Last updated: 25 September 2026

Cloud Bible works without an account. If you never signed in, there is nothing on our servers to delete — your highlights, notes and bookmarks are on your device only, and removing the app removes them with it.

If you still have the app

This is the fastest route, and it takes effect immediately:

  1. Open Cloud Bible
  2. Go to Settings and tap your account
  3. Tap Delete account and confirm

Your account and everything synced under it are deleted straight away. You do not need this page.

If you have already uninstalled the app

Send us the request below. We will email that address to confirm the request came from you before anything is deleted — we ask because highlights and notes say something about a person's beliefs, and we are not willing to erase them on the strength of a typed address alone.

We respond within one month, and usually much sooner. If you would rather write to us in your own words, the support page reaches the same place.

What gets deleted

DataWhat happens
Your account Deleted, along with your email address and sign-in identity
Synced highlights, notes, bookmarks and reading position Deleted from our servers
Popular Highlights contributions, if you turned that on Deleted. You can also withdraw consent in the app at any time, which deletes them without deleting your account
Support enquiries you sent us Retained up to 12 months after the enquiry is resolved, then deleted
Subscription and transaction records Kept as long as accounting and tax law requires. These are held by Apple, Google and our payments provider, not created by us

What stays on your device

Everything you have made stays on the phone or tablet it is on. Cloud Bible is built to work fully offline, so deleting your account does not reach into the app and take your highlights away — it removes the copy on our servers and the account that linked your devices together. To remove the local copy as well, delete the app.

Your subscription is separate

Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription, because we do not hold it — Apple and Google do. Cancel it in App Store → Subscriptions or Play Store → Payments and subscriptions, or it will keep renewing.

For the full picture of what we collect and why, see the Privacy Policy.

Try Cloud Bible before launch

Leave your email and we'll send you an invite to the beta, then let you know when it's in the App Store and Google Play.
