Never highlighted a Bible before? One verse is a fine place to start.

Want to learn more?

For anyone who reads with a pen in hand — or wishes they did.

Some people have years of it already: highlights and notes filling a Bible they can't search, and can't carry everywhere. Cloud Bible brings all of that with them. If you've never highlighted a verse in your life, it's just as much for you — tap a verse, pick a colour, and that's the whole of it.

Highlight and underline in your own colours, write a note on a verse or a passage, and pick up a paper Bible when a screen isn't what you want — then bring what you wrote there back with a photograph. Nothing is permanent: clearing a highlight takes one tap. Eight typefaces, light, sepia and dark pages, and a page you can comfortably read for an hour.

How it works.

Highlight.

Highlight, underline, and write a note beside any verse — in your own colours.

Scan.

Photograph a page you've already highlighted. Cloud Bible finds those highlights and puts them on the same verses.

Read.

One page, every highlight and note you've made, in a typeface and paper colour that's comfortable to read.

Everything you'd do with a pen.

Highlight & underline

Six named colours, or rename and reorder them to mean what you want.

Scan your paper Bible

Photograph a page you've highlighted; the app reads those highlights and applies them on screen. You check each one first.

Write notes

A note on a verse or a whole passage — never sent anywhere, never read by anyone but you.

Typography that holds up

Eight typefaces, paragraph or verse-by-verse layout, light, sepia and high-contrast dark pages.

Share the real page

Share a verse as the page itself — your font, your highlight — not a quote on a stock background.

Every device

Verses people highlight. Every time.

Your Bible stays yours.

An account is optional. Scanned photos are read on your device and never uploaded — they're deleted once you've reviewed what was found. What you write in a note is never sent anywhere or read by anyone but you.

Sign in only if you want your highlights and notes to follow you to another device. A lifetime purchase keeps working even if our servers ever go away — reading, highlighting, notes and scan all work with no connection at all.

Frequently asked questions.

What is Cloud Bible?

Cloud Bible is a Bible reader built for highlighting, underlining and writing notes — with beautiful typography, and a way to bring in the highlights you already made in a paper Bible by photographing the page.

Do I need to know the Bible well to use this?

No. There's nothing to set up and nothing to learn: open a chapter, tap a verse, pick a colour. Plenty of people use it to keep the handful of verses that have meant something to them, and never write a note at all. Nothing you do is permanent — clearing a highlight takes one tap.

How does scanning my paper Bible work?

Photograph a page you've already highlighted or underlined. Cloud Bible reads the page and finds your highlights and underlines, then puts them on the same verses in the app, in matching colours. You check each one before it's added. Photos are analysed on your device and are never uploaded — they're deleted once you've reviewed the result.

Is Cloud Bible free?

Reading is free, always — every translation, every typeface, no limits. Highlighting, underlining, writing a new note, and scanning your paper Bible need Cloud Bible+.

Do I need an account?

No. An account is optional and only used to sync your highlights and notes between devices. Nothing behind the paywall depends on signing in, and everything keeps working with no account and no internet connection.

What happens to my highlights if I stop paying?

They stay exactly as they are — visible, readable, and yours. The subscription gates making new highlights, notes and scans, never the ones you've already made.
